Welcome to Lake Wylie Athletic Association's Website.  We are a 100% volunteer organization serving the Bethel, Clover and Lake Wylie communites of South Carolina.  We offer programs in baseball, soccer, cheerleading and football for area children.  Everyone gets on a team and Everyone plays!

LWAA's Annual Meeting will be held Saturday January 28,2012 at 3PM in the Oakridge Middle School gym.

The Following Positions are open for Nominations:

All Positions are 3 year terms.

Vice Chairman -The Vice-Chairman shall serve in such jobs or capacities as the Chairman or the Board of Directors shall designate, but in any event shall serve all functions of the Chairman when the Chairman is unable to serve

Softball Commissioner-The duties of the Softball Commissioner are the same as the Baseball Commissioners with the caveat that the Softball Commissioner must ensure that our program is in compliance with the Chartered governing body as well as the League administrative manual

Soccer Commissioner-The duties of the Soccer Commissioner are the same as the Baseball Commissioners with the caveat that the Soccer Commissioner must ensure that our program is in compliance with the Chartered governing body. All other points made under Baseball Commissioner apply

Cheer Commissioner- All duties of the Cheer Commissioner are stated in the Pop Warner rulebook, and in materials provided by Pop Warner. The Cheer Commissioner must follow said guidelines

Treasurer- The Treasurer shall have the custody of all funds, property and securities as may be imposed or required by the Board of Directors, and shall endorse on behalf of the corporation for payment checks and other such writings and shall be in charge of depositing and collecting funds of the corporation.

Secretary-The duties of the Secretary shall be to record all minutes, arrange a meeting place, and inform members of time and place of meetings.the Secretary shall have charge of such books, documents and other papers of the corporation as the Board of Directors shall determine and shall keep the minutes of all meetings of the members, and of the meetings of the officers.

Any member may be nominated from the floor but must be present to accept the nomination

Other available Non-Board Positions:


Volunteer Coordinator-  The Volunteer Coordinator is an integral position in LWAA. The Volunteer Coordinator will maintain a roster of approved volunteers, and will provide committee chairs the needed resources to complete their tasks. The Volunteer Coordinator reports to the Secretary and works with the Chairman for required reviews.



Booster Club Chairman- The Booster Club Chairman shall manage, with Board Approval, fundraising efforts. The Booster Club Chairman shall report directly to the Treasurer.



Assistant Equipment Manager- Shall manage all inventories, distribution and collection of all equipment and uniforms. The Equipment Manager shall also work with the Board in collecting price quotes for needed equipment and uniforms, and procure said items after approval. The Equipment Manager reports directly to the Treasurer, but works closely with program Commissioners and Chairman.



Assistant Fields and Grounds Manager – The Fields and Grounds Manager shall work directly with the Commissioners and Chairman on maintenance, development, scheduling and procurement of facilities for our programs.



Media Relations- The Media Relations Coordinator shall provide press releases, public notices, the weekly column in the Lake Wylie pilot, and print and electronic materials for distribution to the Public. The Media Relations Coordinator shall report to the Secretary, and work closely with all other Board Members as needed.



Events Director- The Events Director will coordinate all large scale events. These include but not limited to: opening day, end of year League parties, and Bowl Games to name a few. The Events Director works closely with Commissioners, Treasurer and Chairman.

Spirit Wear Coordinator-  The Spirit Wear Coordinator will be responsible to maintain a brochure  of spirit wear for all sports and to manage and market apparel.

LWAA Annual Meeting will be held Jan. 28 at 3PM at Oakridge Middle School
1st Little League Try Out Feb. 4, 2012 at Bethel Elementary.  Try outs begin at noon.
