The Lake Wylie Athletic Association was formed by a group of Lake Wylie residents who saw the need for quality youth sports programs in our community. The planning occurred over several years, and finally in the Fall of 2007 the preparations had been made to start our inaugural season. 

With the rapid growth of Lake Wylie and the Bethel area of York County, South Carolina, the need for these programs will certainly continue to grow.

During our planning, we decided to affiliate with the largest National Youth Sports Organizations we could. We also decided that unlike other local programs, we do not think we know more than those organizations. We will run our programs as they should be, by the rules and formats supplied by Little League Baseball and Pop Warner Little Scholars. We will also be offering Spring and Fall Soccer, and are considering other sports as well.

This Association is for all of our neighbors in Lake Wylie and Bethel. It is non profit, run completely by volunteers, by donations received. Unlike some other programs, NO MEMBER MAKES A DIME OFF OF THIS VENTURE! We are always looking for good, talented people to help as volunteers. You do not need to have a child in the program, and you do not have to know a lot about any sport. Operating the Association is much like running a business, and we need all the support services that a business would need.
