The 2019 Flag Football season registration is now open (register on!!  I am the new Flag Football Commissioner for the upcoming season and looking forward to a great season.  This will be our second season doing flag football and we are excited about giving our kids another activity to do during the summertime.

LAST DAY TO REGISTER - Sunday, May 26th (please sign up ASAP to avoid being placed a waiting list)

VOLUNTEER COACHES - we are in need of head coaches for all age groups

The cost will be $35 for YMCA members and $50 for non-YMCA members

All practices and games will take place during the week at a field location in the Lake Wylie area.

Our goal is to have all games on Tuesday and Friday nights this year, and each team will have 1 practice during the week on either Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday night (the practice night will be determined by the coach).  The goal is to not have games or practices on the weekends.  Of course, this is subject to change based on weather and field availability.

Age Groups:

5-6 Year Old COED - can't turn 7 before June 1st, and has to be 5 before June 1st
7-9 Year Old COED - can't turn 10 before June 1st, and has to be 7 before June 1st
10-12 Year Old COED - can't turn 13 before June 1st, and has to be 10 before June 1st
*** Please put a note in Special Comments if you want your child to play in a different age division due to safety concerns

Saturday, June 1st - EVALUATIONS at River Hills Church (7-9 year old group from 9:00-10:30, and 10-12 year old group from 11:00-12:30) ... coaches will draft their teams after the evaluations are completed on June 1st.  If you plan on coaching, it is very important that you and/or your assistant coaches show up on June 1st.
** Any child who can't make the evaluations will be placed in a "blind draft" and randomly assigned to a team.
** Each team will consist of 1 Head Coach and 2 Assistant Coaches.  Their child will automatically be placed on their own team.  All other kids will be placed in the draft pool.  No one will be automatically reassigned to their team from last year and must go back in the draft this year.

*** 5-6 year group will not have evaluations and will be placed on teams

June 3rd - June 17th - 2 week practice slots (each team will practice twice per week during this timeframe).  Once games begin, each team will practice only one per week.

Tuesday, June 18th
Friday, June 21st

Please register as a head coach or assistant coach if interested.  We are a volunteer based organization and always need help with coaching.  Also, please let me know if you are interested in being part of the Flag Football committee.

** We are aware that families take vacations during the summertime and can't make all the games and practices.  No big deal but always let your coaches know when you can't make practices or games.

Looking forward to a great season and please contact me with any questions.
