LWAA Summer 2026 Cheer Program

Dear LWAA Cheer Family,

We’re excited to kick off our Summer 2026 Cheer Season, and registration is officially open! πŸŽ‰

Our cheer program is designed to inspire team spirit, confidence, creativity, and athletic growth while creating a fun and supportive environment for all participants.

πŸ“… Registration Details

πŸ‘‰ Register at: lwsports.org

Registration Opens: March 13
Registration Closes: April 17

During registration, we will ask a few quick questions to help place athletes in the most appropriate group:

βœ”οΈ Can your child do a cartwheel?
βœ”οΈ Can your child perform advanced tumbling (roundoff, handsprings)?
βœ”οΈ Has your child participated in stunt cheer before?
βœ”οΈ Would your child like to try out for Elite Cheer? (Ages 8–12)

Important Registration Notes

  • Teams will practice separately. If your child has siblings within the same age range and you would like them placed on the same squad, please include this request in your registration notes.

  • Friend or coach requests must also be listed in registration notes to be considered.

  • If there are weekdays your child cannot practice, please note this during registration so we can place them appropriately.

  • Practices will begin after 6:30 PM on weekdays.

⚠️ For safety and space reasons, practices will be closed to spectators. Only cheerleaders and coaches will be allowed in the gym.

πŸ“£ Program Overview

Our cheer program focuses on skill development, teamwork, and performance opportunities while keeping the experience fun and engaging for all athletes.

Weekly Cheer Classes

πŸ•’ 75-minute class once per week

Families can note schedule preferences during registration, and we will do our best to accommodate them when forming teams.

πŸ’Ž Cheer Tiers

To help athletes build skills in a supportive environment, teams will be organized into tiers:

Elite Cheer (Ages 8–12)
β€’ Tryout required
β€’ Focus on tumbling, stunts, and advanced skills

Teams will primarily be organized by age and skill level to create a comfortable and confidence-building environment for all athletes.

10U
8U
6U

Each tier will also have a designated color to help organize groups during practices and performances.

πŸ“… Season Timeline

Practices: May (beginning) - June (EOM)
Practice schedules will be posted after registration closes on April 17.

  • All holidays and Clover School District breaks will be observed.

  • Practice locations will be within the Lake Wylie area (final location details coming soon).

Once practice schedules are posted, families will have one week to reach out regarding squad adjustments due to scheduling conflicts.

Please register early, as squad availability will depend on coach availability, and we may need to limit team sizes to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
